1999-11-05	After a long time, I have updated these webpages again: There is a new exiting contest in which you can win a beautiful photograph of Mary. Take a look at the Contest page. 1999-09-28	I just spoke to Dara Records and they told me the release date for Speaking With The Angel in the USA is set for 18 january 2000. They couldn't tell me why they wait so long. I will be contacted by Joe O'Reilly soon, so I hope to get more information
1999-08-22	The new album Speaking With The Angel has been released in Europe. Detailed information about the new album can be found in the discography section. It appears that the cover of the album has been changed in the last weeks.
1999-07-18	Release dates for the new album Speaking With The Angel as know at this moment: * Ireland: 6 august 1999 * Europe, USA: 20 august 1999 * Japan: 22 september 1999
1999-06-30	The release of Mary's new album Speaking With The Angel has been posponed for a few weeks. The delay seems to be because of the delay in the artwork. The official release date is now 4 august 1999.
1999-06-10	Finally, I have more information about the new album. It is going to be called Speaking With The Angel. There is now confirmed release date yet, but they are aiming for July. At the end of next week, the first single is to be released, which will be called Don't Say OK. I will hopefully get more information next week, so keep your eyes open for more news.
1999-05-04	In an article and interview by Cathy Bell for ‘Scene Magazine’ it is mentioned that the new album will be released in July. (The complete article will be available soon on these pages).

1999-03-23	There are some changes in Mary's Band: Garvin left the band in September and Carl is also no longer there, but Pat is back and Frank was not with her for the Celtic Flame Tour as she had been asked to make the band smaller, so Nollaig Casey from Coolfin played the fiddle for her. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the new drummer and the new base player, there is no new trumpet player, at least now. Mary said, she wanted some changes in the band.
1999-03-23	There will probably be an official Mary Black Website, which also allows us to contact Mary directly. No address is available at this moment. There appears to exists a http://www.maryblack.com site, but it is not certain whether this will be the official site (it is still under construction).
1999-03-23	Thanks to Petra Meckenstock for the following information: Mary's next album will be produced by Donal Lunny and will come out in Mid June 1999. As Mary did some new songs during the Celtic Flame Tour, here are three new song titles which will probably be on the new album: Bless the road Fields of Gold Don't say ok
1999-01-06	Thanks to Charlene Costello for the following information: For those of you that missed some of her new songs from her US tour, there is a real audio recording of her singing "Fields of Gold" from the Gay Byrne talk show from RTE.
