One of those moments last night when you stop and realize the influence of
a parent...my daughter is 10 years old (fifth
grade). Last night she mentioned that her class was having a party at school
today and they had decided that it would be CD day...each child is encouraged
to bring in some favorite music to share with the class.
She immediately asked if she could borrow my "No Frontiers" CD. I had been listening to it again last week, after I secured tickets for us to see Mary on March 2nd in nearby Morganton, NC (in the beautiful Blue Ridge). I found her a few days later listening to it again, along with my copy of Kate Rusby's 'Little Lights'. Needless to say, I helped pack "No Frontiers" in her book bag this morning, and my morning commute seemed a little brighter today!! (Britany Spears and Destiny's child eat your hearts out!!!!!!) Now we are both excited about our upcoming journey to see Mary... me a step back in time to younger days and a long awaited opportunity to experience Mary live...for my daughter a chance to experience newfound favorite music.
