I am listening to the music of Mary, her last cd and I would like to tell my story about how I met Mary Black and what she means to me. I met her in a party with very good friends where I really felt at ease. One off the woman had a guitar and sang a song , I really don't remember what song it was, but that song touched my hart and soul. Inside I was crying so loud but I did not show. I think the woman who sang the song must have feld my deep feelings because she said to me" this is music off Mary Black don't you know it than you miss something beautifull. You really should listen to it" One day I will ask her Why she said it to me . At last a few weeks later I was In the city and I was in a cd shop and I realised that I would like to buy the cd that woman (Kiki is her name)said to me but I could not remember the name. I asked in every cd shop about a Irish Folksinger until I was in one shop where the salesman said it could be Mary Black. I listened to the cd , it was "babes in the wood" and I knew this was the cd I had to listen to. And I did , I listened over and over and over and I bought more cd's off Mary and also other music, and I discovered the music again. I had missed the music for such a long time and I realised that I was getting old and that I wanted to live and dance and enjoy live and I would like to work and be somebody. And I am proud to say that I am somebody. That means I have a great job I like to do very much. Sometimes it is very difficult and heavy but I can do what I do with all my heart and that is wonderfull. I have a fantastic team off people working with me, I am very greatfull for that. My name is Marjan, Mary in English. I am 45 years old an I used to be black. The music off Mary Black (although I have to say not only her music, but that is another story) has touched my heart and soul so much. By her music I found love ( but that also is another story) I found a lot off pain but just as she says " You never see the moon without the promise off the sun". I also found a lot off luck and happyness and I am happy to meet her in Nijmegen and to says thanks to her. Marjan
