I live in Massachusetts outside of Boston. I'm 35 and a media/technology specialist. I first heard of Mary Black about 3 years ago while I was living in Ireland for the summer. When I asked friends there what they listened to, her name was at the top of the list. I think my first song of hers I heard was "Loving Hannah" - I had heard a group sing the song one night and wondered if anyone had recorded the song - the same friends let me listen to Mary Black's recording. Then I think it was the "Babes in the Woods" CD after that. After that... I was hooked. I've seen her 4 times in concert and had the pleasure of meeting her (and Pat Crowley!) after the last one.
