Who hears her sing, melts away immediately. That voice! No wonder that the amount of fans of the Irish Mary Black is expanding rapidly. Till a year ago only the fans of Irish folk knew her. But, as can be heard on her most recent CD 'Circus', she has expanded her repertoire with 'pop', without loosing any quality. And now, when she is forty, she is rapidly on her way to become a world-star. "If that happened twenty years ago, I wouldn't have been able to deal with it" she says. "I was full of doubt and fear to fail. I think I am a late-bloomer."
