To celebrate Mary's 25 year solo career a group of fans decided to give a gift to Mary. Knowning that Mary would not want us to buy a gift for herself, we decided to make a donation to Mary's adopted charity Focus Ireland.

The group of about 43 people collected a total of 1250 euros for Focus Ireland. This was presented to Mary in the form of a symbolic cheque at her Dublin concert on Monday 17 March 2008. This is an image of the symbolic cheque:

Mary was blown away by the presentation and is very delighted for Focus Ireland. She asked to forward you this message:

The cheque was presented to Mary by Marijke Bruin as I could not be at the concert myself (thanks again Marijke). I would also like to thank everyone who participated in this gift. Mary can be proud of all of you.
